About
About Clubhouse Slab
Clubhouse Slab's lowercase x reaches 74.6% of the capital height, close to the 76.2% median for display fonts, lower than 55 of the 97 other display fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 26.2% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 69 of the 97 other display fonts. Its letters are of average width for display fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 88.3% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 99.6%), within 1.2% of the median. The o is close to a circle, 1.05 times as wide as it is tall, and W is the widest capital, at 1.30 times the width of H. Round letters overshoot: O rises 2.5% of the cap height above H and dips 1.4% below the baseline.
Ink covers 46.3% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), darker than 65 of the 97 other display fonts. Each solid letter is ringed by an outline with a clear gap between them, as on college lettering.
Its 148 characters include 105 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 32.4% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 7.9% of its width. Spacing is adjusted with 270 kerning pairs, more than 90 of the 97 other display fonts. The tightest of them is AY, which closes up by 30.3% of the cap height. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Clubhouse Slab will not line up exactly.
3 other library fonts share Clubhouse Slab's underlying letter structure. Compared with Clubhouse Slab, Manuscript Mono keeps the letters plain, without the varsity effect, puts down 39% less ink and has a 70% x-height. Silly Slab keeps the letters plain, without the varsity effect. Candy Heart Slab keeps the letters plain, without the varsity effect.
Measured from the version 0.1.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 314 library fonts measured on October 2, 2026, 98 of them display fonts.
