Wide Faceted Sports Letterforms
Geo Octagon Counter builds its identity around open interiors and straight strokes that turn through clipped corners. The O forms a closed polygon with flat top and bottom edges, sitting slightly inside the height of its neighbours. The W drops into paired pointed valleys beneath tall outer stems, while the R combines a chamfered bowl with a stepped diagonal leg. Even stroke thickness keeps these different constructions connected. Broad spacing and generous letter widths give the line a measured, technical rhythm, while the plain H and L leave room for the more distinctive shapes to stand out.
Test the font in your wording
Inspect O beside straight capitals, the junctions in W, and the stepped R leg in your actual wording. Check word spacing before tightening a headline. These specimens show Latin capitals; review accented Latin characters and any other scripts separately in the intended fallback setup.
Font pairing roles
Try this face for short headings, with a compact humanist sans for supporting text and labels. Its broad spacing and faceted O establish a strong headline texture; a companion with softer curves and denser text spacing could make longer explanations easier to scan.

Same wording · 40pxHELLO WORLD
Geo Octagon Counter gives O a closed outline with flat horizontal sections and diagonal corners. That faceted shape repeats the angular movement of W and R, making the word feel more consistently polygonal.
HELLO WORLD
Geo Circle Open uses a curved O with a small opening on its right side. Its rounded bowl interrupts the straight strokes and angular joins elsewhere, offering a softer circular accent within the same shared wording.

How this page was made. Geo Octagon Counter is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. Preview sizes and spacing are comparison settings.

About
About Geo Octagon Counter
Its x-height is 69.6% of the cap height, near the 71.4% typical of sans serif fonts in the library, lower than 26 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 30.4% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 27 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 116% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 116.7%), 48.1% more than the median for sans serif fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is wider than it is tall, 1.19 to 1, and M and W are the widest capitals, at 1.12 times the width of H. The O stops 4.5% of the cap height short of H and stands 4.5% above the baseline.
The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 8.9% of the cap height, lighter than 19 of the 28 other sans serif fonts. Ink covers 16.4% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 31 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. Strokes keep one thickness in every direction: the sides of o and O measure the same as their tops and bottoms. Geo Octagon Counter comes in Regular and Bold; Bold puts down 23% more ink than Regular.
Its 159 characters include 116 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 56.4% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 34.7% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.1 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 35 of them sans serif fonts.
