About
About Geo Triangle Aperture
Geo Triangle Aperture's lowercase x reaches 69.7% of the capital height, close to the 71.1% median for sans serif fonts, lower than 12 of the 16 other sans serif fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 30.3% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 11 of the 16 other sans serif fonts. Geo Triangle Aperture runs 20.6% wider than the median for sans serif fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 117.1% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 117.8%). The o is wider than it is tall, 1.23 to 1, and M and W are the widest capitals, at 1.12 times the width of H. The O stops 4.6% of the cap height short of H and stands 4.6% above the baseline.
The letters stand upright, with no measurable slant. Vertical stems measure 9.2% of the cap height, heavier than 9 of the 16 other sans serif fonts. Ink covers 16.8% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 12 of the 16 other sans serif fonts. The contrast is reversed: the tops and bottoms of o and O are 1.4 times as thick as their sides.
Its 228 characters include 116 Latin and 67 Devanagari letters, plus 45 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 57% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 33.4% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. Its OpenType tables also hold Devanagari conjuncts and vowel signs (half, rphf, blwf and more) and mark positioning for accents and vowel signs (mark, mkmk). All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.2 font file. Comparisons are with the 314 library fonts measured on October 2, 2026, 17 of them sans serif fonts.
