Threaded X Mark Display Letterforms
Pixel Cross Stitch Grid draws its letters with small, separated X marks whose crossed centers remain visible in the larger specimen. The O has upright sides and stepped corners around a generous empty center. The R combines a squared upper bowl with a diagonal leg that descends in distinct marks, while the W brings a short central rise between tall outer stems. Even the straight strokes have a dotted rhythm because neighboring crosses stay apart. The result feels airy and orderly, with a textile character that softens the rigid letter skeletons. Broad spacing gives each letter room to show its individual marks.
Test the font in your wording
Preview your actual Latin wording, checking the R's diagonal leg, the W's central rise, and the distinction between O and zero. Inspect whether the X marks remain separate after resizing or printing. Check any other script independently with an appropriate supporting font.
Font pairing roles
Try this face for short headings or craft labels, with a plain sans serif for descriptions and instructions. Its separated crosses create an interrupted texture, so continuous strokes in the supporting text can provide a calmer reading rhythm.

Same wording · 40pxHELLO WORLD?
Pixel Cross Stitch Grid breaks each letter into separated X marks, giving the words a light, perforated texture. Choose it when the individual threadlike marks should contribute to the heading's character.
HELLO WORLD?
Magma Cipher Grotesk uses solid, heavy strokes with stepped corners and compact gaps between letters. Its continuous silhouettes suit a heading where dense block shapes should carry more visual weight.

How this page was made. Pixel Cross Stitch Grid is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. Preview sizes and spacing are comparison settings.

About
About Pixel Cross Stitch Grid
The lowercase is as tall as the capitals: its x-height measures 100% of the cap height, level with the tallest of the 13 pixel fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and g, j, p, q and y barely drop below the baseline. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 97.8% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 97.8%), 20.6% more than the median for pixel fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is an upright oval, 0.69 times as wide as it is tall, and every capital has the same width. O stands exactly as tall as H and sits on the baseline, with no overshoot.
Ink covers 12.1% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 11 of the 12 other pixel fonts. Strokes keep one thickness in every direction: the sides of o and O measure the same as their tops and bottoms.
Its 159 characters include 116 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 50.8% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 29.4% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 13 of them pixel fonts.
