Design
Rounded Bauhaus Soft combines straight, evenly weighted strokes with clipped corners and gently rounded ends. The A has a flat roof and diagonal upper corners, giving its open interior a house-like outline. The M folds inward from short shoulders to a shallow central notch, with a little vertical extension beneath the join. In contrast, the lowercase o is a small, nearly circular ring, noticeably shorter than the tall stems around it. Generous spacing lets these different constructions stand apart. The result feels playful and orderly, with an angular drawing rhythm softened by smooth terminals and simple circular bowls.
Check words containing o beside tall stems, repeated l forms, and descending g or j. Inspect whether the angular e stays distinct as the preview gets smaller. These observations concern the Latin specimens; preview other scripts separately using your actual text.
Try this face for short headings, with a compact serif for descriptions and supporting labels. Its widely spaced geometric letters establish the display voice, while more conventional text shapes could help longer passages hold together. Test both in the intended layout.

Compare the original spacing with a wider setting. The small circular o and narrow, footed l already leave generous gaps; extra tracking can separate these shapes enough to weaken the words.

HELLO WORLD
In uppercase HELLO WORLD, straight H uprights and flat L feet give the line a steady framework. The smaller oval O sits inside the capital height, while D uses clipped corners around an angular counter.
HELLO WORLD
In Funk Wide's uppercase HELLO WORLD, H and L have visibly wavering uprights. O spreads into a broad, asymmetric loop with a pointed left contour, and D has a curved outer bowl. These shapes give the phrase a looser, more elastic rhythm.

How this page was made. Rounded Bauhaus Soft is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. Preview sizes and spacing are comparison settings.

About
The x-height is a compact 70.7% of the cap height, below the 74.4% median for display fonts, lower than 88 of the 116 other display fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 29.3% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 106 of the 116 other display fonts. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 107.7% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 108.4%), 23.7% more than the median for display fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is close to a circle, 1.07 times as wide as it is tall, and M and W are the widest capitals, at 1.12 times the width of H. The O stops 10.1% of the cap height short of H and stands 10.1% above the baseline.
The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 12.1% of the cap height, lighter than 56 of the 58 other display fonts. Ink covers 22.3% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 102 of the 116 other display fonts. Strokes keep one thickness in every direction: the sides of o and O measure the same as their tops and bottoms.
Its 320 characters include 277 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 225 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 52.4% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 33.5% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.2 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 117 of them display fonts.
