Its lowercase sits low: the x-height is 73.2% of the cap height, where the median for display fonts is 76.2%, lower than 66 of the 97 other display fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 26.9% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 77 of the 97 other display fonts. Peace Outline runs 7.3% wider than the median for display fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 95.9% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 106.3%). The o is wider than it is tall, 1.17 to 1, and W is the widest capital, at 1.05 times the width of H. The O rises 1% of the cap height above H and sits on the baseline.

Ink covers 13.6% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 94 of the 97 other display fonts. The letters are hollow: every stroke is drawn as a thin outline band.

Its 501 characters include 105 Latin, 73 Thai, 69 Greek, 67 Devanagari, 66 Cyrillic, 36 Arabic and 27 Hebrew letters, plus 58 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 36.1% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 7.1% of its width. Spacing is adjusted with 237 kerning pairs, more than 86 of the 97 other display fonts. The tightest of them is AV, which closes up by 30.4% of the cap height. Its OpenType tables also hold Arabic joining forms (init, medi, fina), Devanagari conjuncts and vowel signs (half, rphf, blwf and more), mark positioning for accents and vowel signs (mark, mkmk), ligatures (liga, dlig) and glyph composition (ccmp, locl). The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Peace Outline will not line up exactly.
