Hollow Peak Monoline Letterforms

Geo Triangle Aperture turns familiar capitals into an angular sequence of stems, peaks and clipped corners. The O is a hollow triangle with a flat base, making it the strongest interruption in a word. The R combines a shallow, faceted bowl with a leg that steps down before running diagonally outward. The W keeps upright outer stems and folds into pointed lower valleys around a short central stem. Mostly even strokes give these unusual shapes a consistent weight, while broad spacing leaves their outlines exposed. The result feels spare, mechanical and suited to a futuristic visual identity.

Test the font in your wording

Check O beside A in your Latin wording, then inspect the stepped R leg and W joins in smaller previews. Review word spaces across the full title. Test Devanagari shaping and vowel placement separately with actual text; the supplied specimens show Latin forms.

Font pairing roles

Try this face for short headings, with a compact text sans for supporting copy and navigation labels. Its triangular O and angular W already supply strong visual accents, so a companion with conventional bowls could keep longer explanations easy to follow.

Geo Triangle Aperture: letterforms and layout

Distinctive letterforms

O

The O forms a hollow pointed peak with a flat base, replacing the familiar round bowl with a triangular outline.

R

The R has a clipped upper bowl and a diagonal leg that begins with a short downward step beneath the crossbar.

W

Upright outer strokes descend into angular valleys, while a short central stem gives the W a forked, mechanical appearance.

Geo Triangle Aperture

HELLO WORLD

Geo Triangle Aperture gives the phrase heavier strokes, triangular O forms and clipped corners on D and R. Its W combines upright sides with angular valleys, making the word silhouette visibly segmented.

Ion Hairline

HELLO WORLD

Ion Hairline uses finer strokes, broad rounded rectangular O forms and a D with a curved right side. Its W follows continuous diagonals, giving the same phrase a more flowing outline.

About

About Geo Triangle Aperture

Geo Triangle Aperture's lowercase x reaches 69.7% of the capital height, close to the 71.4% median for sans serif fonts, lower than 25 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 30.3% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 26 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. Geo Triangle Aperture runs 49.6% wider than the median for sans serif fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 117.1% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 117.8%). The o is wider than it is tall, 1.23 to 1, and M and W are the widest capitals, at 1.12 times the width of H. The O stops 4.6% of the cap height short of H and stands 4.6% above the baseline.

The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 9.2% of the cap height, lighter than 18 of the 28 other sans serif fonts. Ink covers 16.8% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 28 of the 34 other sans serif fonts. The contrast is reversed: the tops and bottoms of o and O are 1.4 times as thick as their sides.

Its 228 characters include 116 Latin and 67 Devanagari letters, plus 45 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 57% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 33.4% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. Its OpenType tables also hold Devanagari conjuncts and vowel signs (half, rphf, blwf and more) and mark positioning for accents and vowel signs (mark, mkmk). All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.

Measured from the version 0.3.2 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 35 of them sans serif fonts.
