Slanted Wedge Lettering Letterforms
Marker Dry Chisel has a forward lean and broad, dark strokes that end in pointed wedges. The H carries a rising crossbar that pushes beyond its stems, while the E opens into sharp, uneven arms. The O is noticeably shorter than its neighbors, with a narrow oval counter that tilts inside the surrounding ink. These differences make a line feel brisk and slightly restless without breaking the letters into scattered marks. Small irregularities roughen the edges, but the main strokes stay solid and connected. The result is assertive, informal lettering with enough angular detail to give short phrases a recognizable bite.
Test the font in your wording
Inspect Latin counters, especially O and R, alongside the projecting H crossbar in your wording. Compare tighter and wider spacing around pointed terminals. Test lowercase separately from these uppercase specimens, and preview any Hangul text directly; the Latin samples establish neither its appearance nor its readability.
Font pairing roles
Try this face for short headings, with a regular sans serif handling descriptions and navigation. Its heavy wedges and leaning silhouettes give the heading plenty of emphasis; a companion with open counters and steady upright strokes could keep supporting text calm.

Marker Dry Chisel gives this phrase broad dark strokes, pointed ends and a strong forward lean. Its shorter O and angular W create a brisk, uneven rhythm suited to an emphatic heading.
HELLO WORLD
Kids Backslant Print uses thinner, more even strokes with rounded ends and more open interiors. Its H and E feel loosely handwritten, giving the same uppercase phrase a gentler, more conversational presence.

How this page was made. Marker Dry Chisel is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. About
About Marker Dry Chisel
Its lowercase sits low: the x-height is 70.3% of the cap height, where the median for handwriting fonts is 73.2%, lower than 21 of the 29 other handwriting fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l rise 6.7% above the capitals, and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 15.1% of the cap height below the baseline, shallower than 27 of the 29 other handwriting fonts. Marker Dry Chisel runs 10.8% narrower than the median for handwriting fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 64.6% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 73.1%). The o is an upright oval, 0.80 times as wide as it is tall, and no capital is wider than H. The O stops 11.1% of the cap height short of H and stands 8.1% above the baseline.
Vertical stems measure 16.9% of the cap height, heavier than 14 of the 18 other handwriting fonts. Ink covers 39.1% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), darker than 22 of the 29 other handwriting fonts. It is close to monoline, with the sides of o and O 0.94 times as thick as their tops and bottoms.
Its 2,496 characters include 2,401 Korean Hangul and 52 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; there are no accented Latin letters beyond A to Z. The word space measures 45.8% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 15.5% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Marker Dry Chisel will not line up exactly.
Measured from the version 0.3.1 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 30 of them handwriting fonts.
