How to make a signature that looks right

Use the name you actually sign with. An initial and surname often looks more natural than a full name, and a short name leaves room for the flourishes script fonts add to the first and last letters.

For an email signature, download a larger size and let your email app scale it down, so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens. A transparent background sits cleanly on any color.

Is a typed signature legally binding?
That depends on where you are and what you sign. Many e-signature services accept a typed or drawn signature, but this image is not a verified electronic signature and does not prove who made it. Check the requirements before you sign important documents.
Can I use my signature image commercially?
Yes. Signature images you create with this tool can be used for any purpose, including business email signatures, invoices and product packaging.
Should I choose a transparent or white background?
A transparent PNG blends into any background, such as a colored email template or a scanned page. Choose white if the app you paste into shows transparent areas as black or checkered.
Is my name sent to your servers?
No. The signature is drawn in your browser from the font files, and the PNG is created on your device.
