Twin Notch Arcade Letterforms
Pixel Console Square uses separated square marks to give its upright letters a light, segmented outline. The O has straight sides, short flat caps and clipped corners around a tall open counter. The R carries an angular bowl above a leg that descends through isolated diagonal steps. In the W, long outer stems flank a shorter central upright, creating paired low points along the bottom. Even stroke weight and repeated gaps keep the surface crisp and restrained. The result feels like a quiet game status display, with enough open background to keep short wording visually spare.
Test the font in your wording
Preview your actual Latin wording, checking the stepped R leg, clipped O corners and notched W. Compare punctuation and repeated letters after resizing or export, since module gaps shape their appearance. Assess any other script separately with its own specimen and coverage check.
Font pairing roles
Try this face for short headings or status labels, with a plain sans serif for supporting explanations. Its separated modules already add texture; a companion with continuous strokes could give the surrounding text a visibly different role.

Same wording · 40pxHELLO WORLD?
Pixel Console Square breaks each stroke into visibly separated square modules. Its lighter outlines leave more background showing through the letters, giving short interface wording an airy, segmented texture.
HELLO WORLD?
Magma Cipher Grotesk uses thick, connected strokes with stepped edges. Its O has a heavier frame, and its W forms a broad, solid silhouette suited to wording that needs more visual weight.

How this page was made. Pixel Console Square is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. Preview sizes and spacing are comparison settings.

About
About Pixel Console Square
The lowercase is as tall as the capitals: its x-height measures 100% of the cap height, level with the tallest of the 13 pixel fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and g, j, p, q and y barely drop below the baseline. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 91.9% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 91.9%), 13.3% more than the median for pixel fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is an upright oval, 0.65 times as wide as it is tall, and every capital has the same width. O stands exactly as tall as H and sits on the baseline, with no overshoot.
The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 11.3% of the cap height, lighter than 5 of the 6 other pixel fonts. Ink covers 22.1% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 9 of the 12 other pixel fonts. Strokes keep one thickness in every direction: the sides of o and O measure the same as their tops and bottoms.
Its 159 characters include 116 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 47.8% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 29.3% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 13 of them pixel fonts.
