About
About Script Brush Signature
Its lowercase sits low: the x-height is 44.4% of the cap height, where the median for script fonts is 48.4%, lower than 52 of the 53 other script fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l rise 5.1% above the capitals, and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 36.4% of the cap height below the baseline, shallower than 48 of the 53 other script fonts. Script Brush Signature runs 6.6% wider than the median for script fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 68.3% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 68%). The o is wider than it is tall, 1.37 to 1, and no capital is wider than H. The O stops 5.8% of the cap height short of H and stands 6.1% above the baseline.
The letters lean roughly 10° to the right. Ink covers 18.7% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), lighter than 42 of the 53 other script fonts.
Its 95 characters include 52 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; there are no accented Latin letters beyond A to Z. The word space measures 57.4% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 4.5% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Script Brush Signature will not line up exactly.
Measured from the version 0.3.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 314 library fonts measured on October 2, 2026, 54 of them script fonts.
