About
About Lounge Inline
The x-height is a compact 73.4% of the cap height, below the 76.2% median for display fonts, lower than 62 of the 97 other display fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 26.8% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 76 of the 97 other display fonts. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 99.4% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 110%), 11.2% more than the median for display fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is wider than it is tall, 1.20 to 1, and W is the widest capital, at 1.05 times the width of H. The O rises 1% of the cap height above H and sits on the baseline.
Ink covers 42.2% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), darker than 51 of the 97 other display fonts. A thin line is cut along the middle of every stroke.
Its 148 characters include 105 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 38.2% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 7.9% of its width. Spacing is adjusted with 221 kerning pairs, more than 84 of the 97 other display fonts. The tightest of them is AV, which closes up by 31.3% of the cap height. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Lounge Inline will not line up exactly.
Lounge Inline is drawn on the same letter structure as 5 other fonts in the library. Compared with Lounge Inline, Groove Serif 3D adds a 3D extrusion and adds Arabic, Greek, Filipino and 7 more languages. Elven Serif keeps the letters plain, without the inline effect, sets 16% narrower and puts down 44% less ink. Bellbottom Serif keeps the letters plain, without the inline effect and adds Arabic, Filipino, Hebrew and 5 more languages.
Measured from the version 0.1.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 314 library fonts measured on October 2, 2026, 98 of them display fonts.
