Stacked Dash Display Letterforms
Pixel Lcd Segment draws its letters with short horizontal dashes, leaving clear gaps along stems, bowls and crossbars. The O forms a tall oval with inset corners, while the H stretches a dashed crossbar between separated vertical stacks. The R breaks its descending leg into marks that step outward from the bowl. Rounded dash ends give these rigid arrangements a softer edge. Broad spacing and sparse ink keep the line airy, even in capitals. The result has a quiet electronic character suited to instrument readouts and spare display lettering.
Test the font in your wording
Test your actual Latin wording for the stepped R leg, the central stack in W and the distinction between O and zero. Inspect punctuation and dash gaps after resizing or reversing colors. For other scripts, verify character availability and appearance separately.
Font pairing roles
Try this face for short headings or device labels, with a plain sans serif handling explanations and supporting text. Its separated dashes and broad spacing offer a clear visual contrast with continuous strokes; proof the combination in your actual layout.

Pixel Scoreboard Narrow uses compact rectangular marks and narrower letters, giving the same words a darker, tighter texture. Try it when a compact scoreboard appearance better fits the available space.

How this page was made. Pixel Lcd Segment is a FontGenerator library font made with AI; before release its letters were read back one by one by independent automated checks. The design notes were written by AI from the specimen images and checked against them by a second, independent pass; font measurements come from the font file. Preview sizes and spacing are comparison settings.

About
About Pixel Lcd Segment
The lowercase is as tall as the capitals: its x-height measures 100% of the cap height, level with the tallest of the 13 pixel fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (100% of their height), and g, j, p, q and y barely drop below the baseline. It sets wide: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 92.7% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 92.7%), 14.3% more than the median for pixel fonts, so the same words take a longer line. The o is an upright oval, 0.67 times as wide as it is tall, and every capital has the same width. O stands exactly as tall as H and sits on the baseline, with no overshoot.
Ink covers 6.7% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), the lightest of all 13 pixel fonts. Strokes change thickness with direction: the sides of o and O are 2.5 times as thick as their tops and bottoms.
Its 159 characters include 116 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 64 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 48.2% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 27.5% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. All ten figures share one width, so columns of numbers line up.
Measured from the version 0.3.0 font file. Comparisons are with the 376 published library fonts measured on November 8, 2026, 13 of them pixel fonts.
