Sleigh Script

Its x-height is 47.8% of the cap height, near the 48.4% typical of script fonts in the library, lower than 31 of the 53 other script fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l line up with the capitals (99.3% of their height), and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 50.4% of the cap height below the baseline, deeper than 27 of the 53 other script fonts. Its letters are of average width for script fonts: an average lowercase letter, spacing included, is 64% as wide as the capitals are tall (an average capital, 110.2%), within 0.2% of the median. The o is wider than it is tall, 1.64 to 1, and M is the widest capital, at 1.14 times the width of H. The O tops out level with H and stands 0.6% above the baseline.

Ink covers 26.3% of each lowercase letter's box (its advance width by the cap height), darker than 31 of the 53 other script fonts.

Its 148 characters include 105 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 34.6% of the cap height, and lowercase letters reach 32.5% past their own widths into the space of their neighbours. Spacing is adjusted with 54 kerning pairs, more than 44 of the 53 other script fonts. The tightest of them is FA, which closes up by 27.5% of the cap height. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Sleigh Script will not line up exactly.

Sleigh Script is drawn on the same letter structure as 16 other fonts in the library. Compared with Sleigh Script, Amour Shadow adds a separate drop shadow, puts down 83% more ink and has a 52% x-height. Inkline Signature sets 6% wider and puts down 50% less ink. Darling Brush sets 20% wider.
