Three kinds of small text
Tiny text uses superscript letters, which sit high on the line like the 2 in x². Small caps use short capital shapes at lowercase height, so they read like a quieter version of all caps. Subscript letters sit low, like the 2 in H₂O.
Unicode only has some of these letters. Tiny text covers almost the whole alphabet, small caps covers all letters except x, and subscript exists for 17 letters. Letters without a small form stay as you typed them, so check the result before you paste it.
The result is plain Unicode text, so it pastes anywhere that accepts text: Instagram and TikTok bios, Discord names, X posts, and game tags. Some apps and older phones lack these characters and show empty boxes instead.

- Small caps cover 25 of 26 letters, and tiny text covers 25 as well (no q). Subscript covers the fewest, so it works best for short words that use the letters it has.
- Can I make numbers small?
- Yes. Tiny text and subscript both include the digits 0 to 9, plus + − = and brackets.
- Will small text keep its size when I paste it?
- Yes. The letters are small by design, so they stay small even where you cannot change the font size, such as usernames and bios.
