Four ways to turn text around

Upside down text swaps each letter for a lookalike that is drawn rotated (a becomes ɐ, e becomes ǝ) and reverses the order, so the whole line reads correctly when you turn your phone around. Flipped letters keep the original order, which looks stranger but still reads left to right.

Mirror text uses reversed lookalikes (b becomes d, s becomes ƨ) and reverses the order, like text seen in a mirror. Backwards simply reverses the order of the characters. Unicode has no rotated or mirrored form for a few letters, and those stay as you typed them.

The result is plain Unicode text, so it pastes anywhere that accepts text: Instagram and TikTok bios, Discord names, X posts, and game tags. Some apps and older phones lack these characters and show empty boxes instead.

Questions

Can I turn numbers and punctuation upside down?
Numbers yes: 1 2 3 4 5 7 have rotated lookalikes (Ɩ ᄅ Ɛ ㄣ ϛ ㄥ), and 0 6 8 9 work as they are. Common punctuation such as ? ! and . also flips.
Why do some letters look slightly different?
The rotated letters come from phonetic and other alphabets, which were drawn by different designers. Q, for example, has no true rotated form, so its closest lookalike is used.
How do I turn it back?
Paste the upside down text into the box and choose Upside down again: flipping twice returns the original for every letter that has a rotated form.
